1. What do I need to do to start selling books?

To start selling books, you need to create an author account on Löwenbooks, add at least one book following our guide, and register with the Stripe payment system. Once published, your book can be recommended on the platform and will be available to readers.

2. How will I receive money for a sold book?

We use Stripe to process payments. To sell books on the Löwenbooks platform, you must create an author account and connect it to a Stripe account. Payouts will then be automatically sent to your designated bank account in accordance with Stripe's rules.

3. How much money do I earn from selling a book?

The author receives 70% of the book's listed sale price for each copy sold.

4. Do I keep copyright after publishing my book on Löwenbooks?

Yes. All rights to the work remain with the author or rights holder. Publishing a book on the Löwenbooks platform does not transfer copyright to Löwenware s.r.o.

5. I don't have a finished book yet and I'm still writing. Can I use the platform to publish a work in progress?

Absolutely. You can publish your book while you're still writing it and add new chapters gradually as you complete them.

6. I don't have a finished book cover. Can I use an image I found on the internet?

You may only use images for which you have the necessary rights, or materials whose license permits such use. Before uploading, make sure you are not infringing third-party rights. Löwenbooks does not verify the origin of uploaded materials and is not liable for copyright infringement by users.

7. Who pays taxes on sold books?

The author is responsible for declaring their income and fulfilling tax obligations according to the laws of the country where they are a tax resident.

8. A well-known author asked me to publish their book on the platform on their behalf. Can I do that?

Only the author of the book or a person with the necessary rights or permission to publish it may publish it on the platform.

9. I don't want to set a price for my book. Can I publish it for free?

Of course. You set the price of your book yourself and can make it available completely free of charge.

10. My book is under contract with a publisher. Can I still publish it on the platform?

That depends on the terms of your contract with the publisher. Before publishing, verify that you retain the right to distribute the book independently in electronic form.

If exclusive rights to the work have been transferred to the publisher or another rights holder, publishing the book on the Löwenbooks platform may not be possible.

11. I want to remove my book. How can I do that?

A book cannot be completely removed from the platform because it must remain available to readers who have already purchased it.

However, you can hide it from new readers. Open your book's page and click the “Hide book” button at the bottom of the page.

The book will remain in your My Books list but will no longer be available to other platform users who have not previously purchased it.
